The Southern Concert - Dorinda and Olimpia
Violinist Stephen Freeman and violist Odette Bruinzeel, founding members of new baroque ensemble The Southern Concert based on the Far South Coast, team up with colleagues from Sydney and Canberra to present to you 'Dorinda and Olimpia' - a delightful concert of Italian baroque music.
Come and hear New-Zealand born internationally acclaimed soprano Greta Claringbould, accompanied by the intimate sound of the theorbo, played by Shaun Ng, in two cantatas by Alessandro Scarlatti ('Olimpia') and Giovanni Bononcini ('Ecco Dorinda il Giorno').
For these cantatas and a four-part instrumental work by Evaristo dall'Abaco, violinist Lauren Davis and cellist Clara Teniswood will be joining us from Canberra.
Duration: approximately one hour without interval.
